I’m Curtis Vaughan, a freelance graphic and motion designer based in the West Midlands. My practice is based within the realm of digital content. I specialise within 2D animation, motion graphics, brand identity, social media, illustration and video editing.

I got into graphics through a fascination with how brands , especially in entertainment, can use stunning visuals to aid an audience’s involvement when interacting with a product, brand or experience. I just love how you can convey so much with just a recognisable symbol, message or colour palette. My love for motion comes from all of those animated shows I watched as a kid and still watch now. I find it so cool when I can blend these aspects together and really bring something to life. My passion for design is propelled by overcoming challenges and finding new ways to engage an audience with an idea, theme or message. 

My current skill set has been built up through my time at university, my commissioned work and my drive to learn new tools. In the past year, I have worked on multiple contract projects that have strengthened my understanding of client relationships and further building on my practical skills. My creative process is built upon analytical research that informs my visual approach, which is then expanded through experimentation and play.
