IDIOT BOX

Idiot Box is an art exhibition by Gallery 1988 that features artwork based on television shows from 1999 to the present day. The gallery features submitted works that are often sold online or potentially selected for future shows. The goal of this competition brief was to create some displayable imagery that celebrates any television series.

I chose to create a print for The Walking Dead, focusing specifically on the season 6 finale as that episode was a pivotal moment in the series and has the infamous introduction of Negan Smith. I wanted to integrate the franchise’s comic roots by turning the scene into a comic book cover inspired by the original comic books.
